About Mrs. Sears

Hi! I'm Jamie Sears and I am excited to be your child's third grade teacher. Let me tell you a little about myself...

Thirteen years ago, I married my high school sweetheart.

This is a photo from our vow renewal on the beach in Cabo San Lucas.

Scott is a pediatric nurse at Phoenix Children's Hospital. He spends countless hours volunteering in my classroom so you will probably see him at some point!

I am blessed to be the mother of four adorable kiddos who all attend our school!

This is Kyler. He is eleven and in the 6th grade. He loves Star Wars, Legos and Harry Potter. He is just like his father so I can't help but love him to death!

This is Danika. She is ten and in the 5th grade. She loves music and reading anything and everything she can get her hands on. She is super smart and sassy.

This is Makenzie. She is Danika's twin, so she is also ten and in the 5th grade. She loves puppy dogs and dance. She is as sweet as cotton candy. I kid you not.

This is Laynee. She is nine and in the 4th grade. She was in my class last year! Laynee loves ladybugs, monkeys and crafts. She is momma's girl!

Now you have met the clan!

More about me...

I went to Northern Arizona University and studied Political Science with an emphasis in the American Legal System. After college, I spent some time working in the state senate, the state attorney general's office and lobbied for the state supreme court.

After having the twins, I had the opportunity to stay home with my babies and I jumped on it. I stayed home with them until Laynee was in Kindergarten. I will always treasure those years.

I went back to school and got my certificate to teach government in high school. But while finishing my degree, I spent a lot of time volunteering in my kids' classrooms. I felt at home! My husband didn't even bat an eye when I announced that I wanted to get an elementary certification! He rocks!

I am entering my fourth year as a third grade teacher. I LOVE it! The kids are old enough to be independent, but young enough to think I am pretty cool.

About half way into my first year of teaching, I started making my own resources, Co-workers and friends convinced me to start selling my work. This business has become a passion for me. I love creating something that students around the country can benefit from.

When I am not teaching or creating, I enjoy lazing by the pool with a book or traveling with my family.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family as we team up this year!
